Zeynep Ölçü Dinçer holds her BA, MA and PhD from Middle East Technical University Department of Foreign Languages Education in 2014. She was a research assistant in the same department and an active participant in research and teaching practices between 2008-2013. Later, she continued her career as an Assistant Professor at Erciyes University Department of English Language Teaching. Now she is an Associate Professor at Hakkari University Department of English Language Teaching. She has been teaching BA and MA courses on English language teacher education, educational linguistics and SLA, as well as advising MA and PhD theses on these subjects. Since she has a second field of interest, which is historical pragmatics, she completed her second PhD on Turkish language in 2024, specifically did research on Old Anatolian Turkish dialogues. Her research interests include English language teacher education (practicum, teacher emotion/ cognition/ motivation, teachers’ instructional decision making and planning), EMI, and second language acquisition. She is also excited about investigating Turkish historical dialogues. She has published articles in national and international journals/books and participated in national and international conferences. She reviewed articles published in international journals such as Lingua and SSLLT, and evaluated research projects on behalf of National Science Center of Poland and Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye. She is in the team of Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (EPDAD) and Erciyes University Micro Analysis Research Group (ERUMARG).
